This Week in Sport: 24th October − 30th October 2022

Raphinha Belloli takes a corner for Barcelona The last full week of October is shaping up to be an exciting seven days for sports fans. On Monday, the Vegas Golden Knights play the Toronto Maple Leafs at the T-Mobile Arena. The following day will see the Phoenix Suns play host to the Golden State Warriors. Camp Nou will be the venue of Wednesday’s fixture to watch with Barcelona facing Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

On Thursday, in the NFL, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the  Baltimore Ravens. The next day, the T20 World Cup will see the home team, Australia, play against England. 

The weekend will also bear witness to some incredibly exciting sporting action. On Saturday, CR Flamengo will go head-to-head with Athletico Paranaense in the Copa Libertadores final. Finally, on Sunday, teams and drivers head to the Mexico City Grand Prix for round 18 of the Formula 1 season.

NBA: Phoenix Suns v Golden State Warriors

After a big win in game one for the Golden State Warriors againt the LA Lakers, they now travel to the Footprint Center to play the Phoenix Suns who also won their first game of the season against the Dallas Mavericks. UEFA Champions League: Barcelona v Bayern Munich

Camp Nou is one of the most famous football grounds in the world and it sets one of the great venues for Barcelona and Bayern Munich to face each other in the UEFA Champions League. The two sides met earlier in the season and the travelling team were victorious, but Barcelona will hope to make the most of their home ground advantage as they desperately need a victory.

Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Iztacalco 

Round 20 of the Formula 1 World Championship travels to Mexico to race the 4.3km Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit. Following Red Bull's win of the constructors championship in the USA last week, and Max Verstappen claiming the drivers win prior to that, the rest of the paddock will be looking to claim some end of season success too.
