Event of the Day: Mumbai Indians v Rising Pune Super Giants

Our event of the day is the IPL final qualifier between Mumbai Indians who finished first in the table and runners-up Rising Pune Super Giants in Mumbai. It's Pune’s first appearance at this stage of the tournament after joining the IPL in 2016. Mumbai Indians are looking to make it to their third IPL final in five years after claiming victory in 2013 and 2015. Despite finishing above them in the table Mumbai failed to beat Pune in both league clashes.

Honourable mentions around the globe go to Game 3 of the NHL Western Conference Final in Nashville between the Nashville Predators and the Anaheim Ducks with the series currently tied at 1-1. Game 2 in the NBA Western Conference Final in Oakland as the Golden State Warriors host the San Antonio Spurs, with the Warriors leading 1-0. There is Premier League action as Arsenal face Sunderland and Manchester City play West Brom. Reading welcome Fulham for the second leg of the Championship semi-final playoff, 1-1 the score going into tonight. However, with a place in the IPL final at stake events in Mumbai will be thrilling and intriguing viewing. Enjoy.
