Event of the Day: Boston Celtics v Washington Wizards

Our event of the day is the deciding Game 7 between the Washington Wizards and the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semi-final from the TD Garden in Boston. The Wizards claimed a dramatic 92-91 win in game 6 to set up tonight’s thriller. Washington Shooting guard Bradley Beal had an impressive performance registering 33 points. The D. C area will be hoping desperately that the Wizards can pull the slight upset – it has been 19 years since a team from the area have reached a Conference Final in any of the NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL competitions.

Honourable mentions around the globe go to the NHL Conference game 2 as the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Ottawa Senators who lead the series 1-0. Newly crowned Premier League Champions Chelsea welcome Watford to Stamford Bridge. It is also the first day of the Italian Tennis Open from Rome. However, with an Eastern Conference final with reigning champions Cleveland Cavaliers the prize, proceedings in Boston will be a fantastic watch. Enjoy.
