NRG Stadium, Houston

On Monday, NCAA College Football will reach its climax with the National Championship match, with Michigan and Washington being the two teams who will battle it out for supremacy at the NRG Stadium in Houston. Both sides have gone 14-0 overall this season, meaning there is very little to decide who lifts the trophy.

Carabao Cup: Middlesbrough v Chelsea

Tuesday 9th January 8:00PM GMT/8:00PM Local Time

Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough

The Carabao Cup Semifinals begin on Tuesday, as Middlesbrough host Chelsea at the Riverside Stadium for the first leg of this tie. Chelsea will go in as clear favourites for this one as a Premier League side, but Middlesbrough, who currently sit 12th in the Championship, are a team capable of taking the game to their opponents. Liverpool will host Fulham in the other Semi-Final 1st Leg on Wednesday.

NBA: Boston Celtics v Minnesota Timberwolves

Wednesday 10th January 12:00AM (11th) GMT/9:00PM Local Time

TD Garden, Boston

There is a huge game in the NBA on Wednesday, as the Boston Celtics, who currently top the Eastern Conference with a record of 28-7, host the Minnesota Timberwolves, who sit top of the Western Conference with a record of 25-10. Both sides have looked extremely strong so far, but the Celtics are yet to lose at home this season, so this will prove a tough task for the Timberwolves.

NHL: Vegas Golden Knights v Boston Bruins

Thursday 11th January 3:00AM (12th) GMT/7:00PM Local Time

T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, United States

There is exciting action in the NHL on Thursday, with the reigning champions, and second in the Pacific Division, the Vegas Golden Knights, hosting top of the Atlantic Division, the Boston Bruins at the T-Mobile Arena. Snooker Majors: Masters Day 6

Friday 12th January 1:00PM GMT/1:00PM Local Time

Alexandra Palace, London

The snooker Masters tournament will enter its sixth day of the competition on Friday at Alexandra Palace. NFL: Kansas City Chiefs v Miami Dolphins

Saturday 13th January 1:00AM (14th) GMT/7:00PM Local Time

Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City

The NFL Playoffs begin this week with the Wild Card round, and one of the most exciting matchups will see the reigning Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, host the Miami Dolphins at Arrowhead Stadium. Both sides have identical regular season records of 11-6, and the last time the two sides met in November, the Chiefs managed a 21-14 win over their opponents, so this has the potential to be a close matchup.

Grand Slam (Tennis): Australian Open Day 1

Sunday 14th January 12:00AM GMT/11:00AM Local Time

Melbourne Park, Melbourne

The first tennis Grand Slam of the year begins on Sunday, as the Australian Open gets underway at Melbourne Park. Novak Djokovic will return to defend his tenth Australian Open title but will know players such as Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will provide a threat to his reign. In the women’s singles, Aryna Sabalenka will look to win consecutive titles, but Iga Świątek, Elena Rybakina, and Coco Gauff will all provide tough competition for the reigning champion.
