This Week in Sport: 7th November − 13th November 2022

Sarah Hunter is lifted in a line outThe first full week of November is shaping up to be incredibly exciting for sports fans around the world. On Monday, action at the Dickies Arena will see the Final of the WTA Tour. The following day, the Winnipeg Jets play host to the Dallas Stars. Across the Atlantic, on Wednesday, Manchester City play Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

Later in the week, the T20 World Cup is at the Semi-final stage with India playing England. On Friday, Australia play New Zealand in the Semifinals of the Rugby League World Cup.

There is no shortage of sport taking place at the weekend either, with another exciting battle between New Zealand Women and England Women in the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final and the T20 World Cup reaches the Final to round out the week.

NHL: Winnipeg Jets v Dallas Stars

The Winnipeg Jets and the Dallas Stars will face each other at the Canada Life Centre after both teams won convincingly over the weekend. The Jets claimed a 4-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks and the visitors come off a 6-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Carabao Cup: Manchester City v Chelsea

City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester 

Chelsea travel to Manchester CIty for the third round of the Carabao Cup. City have won the title six times over the last 9 editions and will be looking to add another, but after Chelsea’s painful defeat to Liverpool in the final last year, they will be looking for redemption in the competition.

The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup, between England and India, will take place at the Adelaide Oval. Both sides have had less than simple routes to this stage but will be looking to secure their place in the highly anticipated final
