This Week in Sport: 30th May − 5th June 2022

Spain's Carlos Alcaraz Serving As May draws to a close and we move into June, sports fans will once again be treated to an exciting 7 days of action. On Monday, the Carolina Hurricanes will take on the New York Rangers in a decisive game 7 Play-off battle. The following day, Surrey play host to Gloucestershire in the T20 Blast. On Wednesday, Italy take on Argentina at Wembley in a hotly anticipated game between the two teams.

Later in the week, on Thursday, the Golden State Warriors go up against the Boston Celtics in the opening game of the NBA Finals, with both team’s desperate to win the title. Friday will see the second day of action at Lord's, the first of three Tests between England and New Zealand.

There is also no shortage of exciting sporting action at the weekend either. On Saturday horse racing fans are set to be treated to must watch racing at The Derby and finally, on Sunday, the French Open will reach its climax with the Men’s Singles Final.

 

NHL: Carolina Hurricanes v New York Rangers

T20 Blast: Surrey v Gloucestershire

Finalissima: Italy v Argentina

2021 Copa America winners Argentina will take on Euro 2020 winners Italy in the Finalissima, with the one-off game last held in 1993. After their incredibly disappointing World Cup Qualifying campaign, the Azzurri will be keen to get back to winning ways and give their fans something to cheer for on Wednesday.

NBA: Golden State Warriors v Boston Celtics

Cricket: England v New Zealand - First Test, Day 2

Flat Racing: The Derby
