Event of the Day: French Open Day 3

The event of the day is the third day of the French Open which features men’s and women’s singles first round matches. British world number one Andy Murray is in action on the Philippe-Chatrier Court as he takes on unseeded Andrey Kuznetsov from Russia. Murray is still looking for his maiden Roland Garros title. Swiss 2015 French Open winner Stan Wawrinka clashes with Slovakian Jozef Kolvalik in his opening match. The woman’s draw sees British seventh seed Johanna Konta get her French Open campaign up and running against unseeded Taiwanese Hsieh Su-wei.

Honourable mentions around the globe go to the continuation of the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Qualifiers in Bermuda, the three races include a double header for Sweden as they face New Zealand and Great Britain as well as a clash between Team France and team USA. The Boston Red Sox visit the Chicago White Sox in an exciting Major League Baseball clash.
