Event of the Day: State of Origin Game 2

The event of the day is the second State of Origin match between New South Wales Blues and Queensland Maroons from the ANZ Stadium Sydney. New South Wales surprised many when they blew Queensland away in game one. Five tries from five different players saw the Blues beat the Maroons 28-4. The Blues know that a win today would see them secure their first State of Origin title since 2014 and only their second series win in 12 attempts. However, the Maroons are a resilient side and will make it extremely difficult for the hosts. It promises to be an entertaining and potentially history making match, this is one not to be missed.

Honourable mentions around the globe go to Confederation’s Cup action in Russia. Hosts Russia take on current reigning European champions Portugal. Russia won their opening game 2-0 against New Zealand whereas Portugal are still searching for their first win of the tournament after a 2-2 draw with Mexico. New Zealand clash with Mexico in the second game of the day. There is more UEFA European Under-21 Championship action from Poland with the Czech Republic taking on Italy and Germany clashing with Denmark. The Queen's Club Championship continues with Gilles Muller versus Jo-Wilfried Tsonga the pick of the games. It is the second day of Royal Ascot with the 1 mile and 2 furlongs, Prince of Wales's Stakes, the pick of the races for the day.

Whatever you are watching today, enjoy!
