Event of the Day: British and Irish Lions match v Chiefs

The event of the day is the British and Irish Lions match against the Chiefs at the FMG Stadium Waikato, Hamilton. This will be the Lions last tour match before locking horns with the All Blacks on Saturday in Auckland. This will be the final opportunity for Lions players to impress coach Warren Gatland ahead of the first test. Irish hooker Rory Best captains the Lions, Dan Biggar comes in at fly half and there are starts for Liam Williams and Elliot Daly. 2011 World Cup winner Stephen Donald captains the Chiefs, who are missing key players that are currently away representing New Zealand and the Māori All Blacks. The Lions will want to gain as much momentum as possible going into Saturday's test opener. An exciting 80 minutes of action lies ahead.

Honourable mentions around the globe go to UEFA European Under-21 Championship Group B games as Serbia take on Macedonia and Portugal clash with Spain. Portugal and Spain won their opening games with ease, Spain thrashing Macedonia 5-0 and Portugal with a solid 2-0 win against Serbia. Andy Murray gets his Queen's Club Championship tournament defence up and running when he takes on fellow Brit Aljaž Bedene on Centre Court. There are four matches at the Hockey World League semi- finals with the game between the Netherlands and India the pick of the matches.

Whatever you are watching today, enjoy!
