Event of the Day: British and Irish Lions v Blues

Our event of the day is the British and Irish Lions Tour match against the Blues at Eden Park, Auckland. Warren Gatland has made 15 changes to the side that struggled to a 13-7 win against the New Zealand Provincial Barbarians. The changes includes 11 debutants featuring Welsh fly-half Dan Biggar, English lock Maro Itoje and Irish back-row CJ Stander. Welsh hooker Ken Owens will captain the Lions on his debut performance too. The Blues have named 8 former and current All Blacks in their line up led by captain James Parsons, but the Blues who are bottom of the New Zealand group in Super Rugby will be missing current Test All Black Jerome Kaino.

Honourable mentions around the globe go to the NBA Finals Game 3 as the Golden State Warriors travel to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers. The Warriors lead the series 2-0 after winning Game 2 comfortably 132-113. LeBron James and his team will be desperately looking to get the Cavaliers up and running in the series. ICC Champions Trophy cricket continues with Pakistan clashing with South Africa at Edgbaston. Pakistan will be looking to bounce back from their heavy defeat to bitter rivals India. There are more quarter finals from Roland Garros with Stan Wawrinka versus Marin Čilić the pick of the matches. The Louis Vuitton America's Cup Challenger Playoffs continue between New Zealand and Great Britain as well as Sweden against Japan.
