Event of the day

Our event of the day...

is the NatWest T20 Blast clash between Gloucestershire and Glamorgan. The T20 Blast competition featuring the 18 first-class county teams from England and Wales has almost reached the half way point of the group stages. Yorkshire, Lancashire and Leicestershire are joint leaders of the North Division on 8 points. Surrey currently lead the South Division with 9 points, followed up by Gloucestershire, Glamorgan and Hampshire with 7 points.

The match between Gloucestershire and Glamorgan at the County Ground in Bristol should be a great game. Gloucestershire won their last game against each other a year ago but Glamorgan lead the head to head in the last 5 games, 3 wins to 2. Australian wicketkeeper batsmen Cameron Bancroft and right arm bowler Benny Howell are the players to watch for Gloucestershire and South African left hand batsmen Jacques Rudolph and right arm bowler Michael Hogan are Glamorgan's top names and they also have South African big hitter David Miller making his team debut. The winner could move top of the South Division so expect an exciting clash.
