Event of the Day: FINA World Championships Day 11

Our event of the day...

is all the action from the 17th FINA World Championships in Budapest. The seventeen day aquatics championships covering swimming, diving, synchronised swimming and water polo has reached its eleventh day. Currently China lead the medal table with 10 Gold Medals, Russia in second with 8 and France in third with 5.

Today the main action is in the pool with the semi-finals of the men's 200m freestyle, men's and women's 100m backstroke, women's 100m breaststroke and the finals of men's 100m breaststroke, men's 50m butterfly, women's 100m butterfly and women's 200m individual medley. The 100m breaststroke final should be a particular highlight as British swimmer Adam Peaty already broke the championship record during his semi-final yesterday, can he break his own world record today? It should be an exciting watch.
