Our event of the day is the first leg of the last 16 match of the UEFA Champions League between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Real versus PSG is the tie of the round and the teams have an equal record of two wins, two losses and two draws from their six previous matches against each other. A 1-0 away win over Toulouse was good preparation for Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend ahead of facing Real Madrid and star player Neymar forced the winning goal. Real Madrid thrashed Real Sociedad 5-2 in La Liga on Saturday with Cristiano Ronaldo securing a hat-trick. The clash tonight see the current champions take on one of the strongest contenders for Europe’s greatest trophy. The competition is particularly important for Madrid this year, as they have already been eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Leganés and are currently fourth in La Liga, 17 points behind leaders Barcelona. PSG on the other hand are looking very comfortable domestically with a 12 point lead in Ligue 1, and they are still in both French domestic cup competitions. The second leg of this tie will be held at the Parc des Princes in Paris on 6th March. However, the game  tonight at the home of the reigning European champions will go a long way to deciding who proceeds to the next ground - it should be a thrilling night of high quality football,
