The Qatar Goodwood Festival is a major summer horse racing event held over five days at Goodwood Racecourse in West Sussex, England. Set on the Sussex Downs, the course is known for its scenic setting, rolling terrain and distinctive downhill turns, which test the skill of both horses and jockeys. Often called Glorious Goodwood, the festival features a varied flat-racing programme, including prestigious contests such as the Goodwood Cup, Sussex Stakes and Nassau Stakes. Rather than team competition, the event brings together leading thoroughbred horses, trainers, jockeys and owners from Britain and abroad. Racegoers can follow established champions and emerging contenders as they compete for prize money and titles across different distances. The Qatar Goodwood Festival is supported by Qatar and attracts large crowds, with race meetings combining high-level sport and a well-known summer social atmosphere. For sports fans, it offers a chance to learn about horse racing tactics, form, racecourse conditions and the people involved in preparing each runner. Goodwood’s official results and race information provide details on runners, jockeys, trainers, schedules and outcomes throughout the festival.
