Event of the Day: Spanish MotoGP

Our event of the day is the Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix from the Circuito Permanente de Jerez. At the start of the year you could be forgiven for thinking that the 2017 MotoGP season was shaping up to be a mundane affair as Yamaha newcomer Maverick Viñales stunned the paddock by topping every pre-season test. However, as we arrive in Spain for the 4th race of the season and the start of the European Leg no one would have predicted the legendary 38-year-old Valentino Rossi would be leading the championship. With probably the most talented field of riders in history, speeds of over 200mph and the famous last corner excitement of Jerez, tomorrow promises to be a classic.

Honourable mentions go to the Spurs visiting the Rockets in NBA Playoff action, the Predators and the Ducks can both wrap up their 2nd round NHL Playoff Series, Arsenal play Manchester United in the Premier League and it is the conclusion of the English Football League Championship. However, you won't be able to take your eyes off the two wheeled excitement from Andalucia. Enjoy.
