Event of the Day: Wasps v Saracens

Our event of the day is Wasps v Saracens in the final round of the Aviva Premiership before the Playoffs. The sides clash at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry with a home semi-final place at stake. In the last 10 years only five teams have reached the Premiership Final by winning an away semi-final so it is very much a must win game for both sides and additionally Wasps will be desperate not to lose their unbeaten home record – lasting since a loss to Saracens on 27/12/2015. Saracens have rested a few of their big name players in preparation for the European Champions Cup Final against Clermont on 13th May but that should not diminish from what should be an exciting contest. 

Honourable mentions go to an important game for Barcelona against Villarreal in their fight for La Liga, the Penguins can clinch a NHL playoff series victory against the Capitals, Port Adeliade take on the West Coast Eagles in what should be an thrilling AFL game, the Utah Jazz host the Golden State Warriors in the third game of their NBA Playoff series, and six Premiership football games. However, the game that might have a big say in deciding the winner of the Aviva Premiership should be captivating viewing. Enjoy.
