Event of the Day: Los Angeles Dodgers v San Francisco Giants

So let the Fixture journey begin…

Our event of the day is Game 1 of the latest baseball series between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodgers Stadium, Los Angeles. This Californian rivalry is considered by many to be the greatest baseball rivalry of all time, dating back to the 19th century when both teams were founded in the New York City area and continued when they both moved out West in 1958. It is early season in the MLB but with Clayton Kershaw and Johnny Cueto pitching it should be a fantastic game.

Honourable mentions to the conclusion of the Snooker World Champions final between John Higgins and Mark Selby, the start of two thrilling NBA playoff series with the Raptors at the Cavaliers and the Rockets at the Spurs respectively, Liverpool at Watford in the English Premier League with the Reds pushing for one of those Champions League spots, two exciting Indian Premier League games and the Washington Capitals at the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL Playoffs. However, we must represent one of Fixture’s founding cities and therefore look forward to the next chapter of a great sporting rivalry, game 2454 between the Dodgers and the Giants. Enjoy.
