Our event of the day is the 2018 NFL Super Bowl between the AFC's New England Patriots and the NFC's Philadelphia Eagles at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Most people thought Philadelphia had little chance to make the Super Bowl when Quarterback Carson Wentz was injured in early December, however Nick Foles has led the team heroically in his absence. New England however enter Super Bowl 52 as the favourites to repeat, Tom Brady building off an unprecedented comeback in Super Bowl 51 to have one of his best seasons at the age of 40.
The Eagles were the NFL's No. 3 rushing offense in the regular season, averaging 4.5 yards per carry and 132.2 yards per game on the ground. The Patriots had the No. 2 passing offense, averaging 276.1 yards per game through the air. The Patriots are going for a sixth Super Bowl Ring whereas it would be the first victory for the Eagles. Beyond the excitement of the game, the Super Bowl is an entertainment highlight of the year, with the singer Pink performing the national anthem and Justin Timberlake responsible for the halftime show. It should be a thrilling Super Bowl Sunday.
