Our event of the day

is the NFL game between the Cleveland Browns and the Minnesota Vikings which is taking place at Twickenham Stadium in London. The Browns have struggled so far this season - they are without a win and currently sit bottom of the North division of the American Football Conference while their rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer is not having the best of starts to his Browns career. However he has been given the nod of confidence and will start against the Vikings today. The Browns will hope playing in London will bring a change in fortune after their overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans at the FirstEnergy Stadium last week.

The Vikings have enjoyed a more positive campaign so far compared to their opposition today. They are currently sit top of the North division of the National Football Conference with five wins from their opening seven games. Much of this success has been down to their effectiveness in defence, as shown when they limited the Baltimore Ravens to only 208 yards in the entire game. The Vikings will travel to Twickenham as deserved favourites, however they can ill-afford any complacency – they were favourites to beat the Browns the last time the sides met in 2013 but suffered a surprising 31-27 defeat. Although the Vikings are expected to be largely untroubled, today could well be an exciting game that provides a shock result.
