Cape Town Stadium, also known as the DHL Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a sports venue in <a href="/country-south-africa">South Africa</a> which predominantly hosts matches in <a href="/sport-football">football</a> and <a href="/sport-rugby-union">rugby union</a>. The stadium was built for the 2010 <a href="/sport-football/competition-fifa-world-cup">FIFA World Cup</a> and has a capacity of over 55,000. The stadium is home to Western Province Rugby, the DHL <a href="/sport-rugby-union/team-stormers">Stormers</a>, and <a href="/ctiy-cape-town">Cape Town</a> City F.C. and often hosts South African international rugby matches. The stadium hosted a Semi-Final, amongst seven other matches, in the FIFA World Cup and hosted the 2022 <a href="/sport-rugby-union/competition-rugby-world-cup-sevens">Rugby World Cup Sevens</a>. The stadium also hosted Match in Africa 6, involving Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, which had the highest attendance ever recorded at a <a href="/sport-tennis">tennis</a> match, with nearly 52,000 people watching.
