Super <a href="/city-rugby">Rugby</a> is a professional <a href="/sport-rugby-union">rugby union</a> competition that features teams from <a href="/country-australia">Australia</a>, <a href="/country-new-zealand">New Zealand</a>, and <a href="/country-south-africa">South Africa</a>. It was originally known as the Super 12, but in 2011, it was expanded to include 15 teams and renamed as the <a href="/sport-rugby-union/competition-super-rugby">Super Rugby</a> competition. The 15 teams are split into three conferences, with five teams in each conference. The competition follows a round-robin format, with each team playing 18 regular season matches. The top eight teams then move on to the playoffs, which consist of quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final to determine the champion.
