The Norway national rugby league team represents Norway in international rugby league and is governed by the Norwegian Rugby League Federation. Known as the Vikings, the team competes in European Rugby League competitions, including the Rugby League European Championship’s lower divisions, where it faces developing national sides from across the continent. Norway’s notable achievement includes winning the European Championship C in 2018, a title that marked an important milestone for the programme. The national squad combines Norwegian-based players with eligible players of Norwegian heritage, and selection varies between tournaments and international fixtures. Rather than playing at a permanent national rugby league stadium, Norway stages home matches at venues arranged for each event; rugby league remains a developing sport in the country, so grounds and locations can change. The team’s international schedule may include European championship matches, qualifying campaigns and regional fixtures, depending on the competition calendar. For supporters following Norway rugby league, results, squad announcements and upcoming matches offer a useful way to track the Vikings’ progress and the growth of the sport in Norway.
