Paralympic equestrian, also known as para-equestrian, is a competitive sport that is reserved for athletes with disabilities. This exciting sport includes a variety of therapeutic and adaptive riding classes, allowing riders with physical disabilities to compete on equal footing. The Paralympic equestrian competition is governed by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) and has been a part of the Paralympic Games since 1996. The competition consists of three equestrian disciplines: dressage, show jumping, and driving. Each event showcases the athletes' riding skills and their ability to work with their horses.
