The <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-football/competition-african-nations-championship">African Nations Championship</a> is a biennial international football competition organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). It was first held in 2009 and is open to players who are active in their national leagues. The tournament features 16 national teams from across Africa, divided into four groups. The reigning champion is <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-football/team-morocco-1">Morocco</a>, who won the 2020 edition held in <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-football/team-cameroon-1">Cameroon</a>. The top four teams of the tournament qualify for the CAF Super Cup, while the winner also receives a cash prize of $750,000. The tournament is held in various stadiums across the host country, with the final match being played at the largest stadium. Notable players who have participated in the <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-football/competition-african-nations-championship">African Nations Championship</a> include Youssef En-Nesyri, Farouk Miya, and Victor Osimhen.
