<a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/team-bahawalpur-royals">Bahawalpur Royals</a> were one of six teams in the <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/competition-pakistan-junior-league">Pakistan Junior League</a> (PJL), a youth T20 cricket competition launched by the <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/team-pakistan-1">Pakistan</a> Cricket Board in 2022 to showcase emerging talent. Representing Bahawalpur, the Royals competed in the tournament’s inaugural and only season, held in <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/competition-pakistan-super-league">Pakistan Super League</a>0. Abbas Ali captained the side, which featured young Pakistani cricketers seeking opportunities to progress to senior domestic and international cricket. The team’s PJL matches were played at <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/stadium-gaddafi-stadium">Gaddafi Stadium</a> in Lahore; the competition did not stage its games at Bahawalpur’s historic Dring Stadium. <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/team-bahawalpur-royals">Bahawalpur Royals</a> did not win the inaugural PJL title, which was claimed by the <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/team-gwadar-sharks">Gwadar Sharks</a>, and the short-lived competition did not provide a sustained record of seasons or awards for the team. The Royals are therefore best understood as a 2022 development-team entry rather than a <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/competition-pakistan-super-league">Pakistan Super League</a> franchise. For cricket fans searching for <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/team-bahawalpur-royals">Bahawalpur Royals</a> players, results, tournament history, or stadium information, the key facts are their participation in the inaugural <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-cricket/competition-pakistan-junior-league">Pakistan Junior League</a>, Abbas Ali’s captaincy, and their Lahore-based match venue.
