Founded in 1998 as the <a href="/ctiy-detroit">Detroit</a> Shock, the team played in Detroit until 2009 before relocating to <a href="/ctiy-tulsa">Tulsa</a>, <a href="/ctiy-oklahoma">Oklahoma</a>, in 2010. In 2016, the team moved once again to its current home in Arlington. With a strong roster of skilled players and dedicated coaching staff, the <a href="/sport-basketball/team-dallas-wings">Dallas Wings</a> are a force to be reckoned with in the Women's National Basketball Association (<a href="/sport-basketball/competition-wnba">WNBA</a>). Their home games are played at the <a href="/ctiy-college-park">College Park</a> Center, a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of over 7,000. The Wings have made it to the playoffs six times, including a trip to the WNBA Finals in 2018. As one of the youngest teams in the league, the Dallas Wings continue to make strides towards becoming a dominant force in the WNBA.
