Race walking, also known as speed walking, is a competitive form of athletics that involves walking at a fast pace in a specific technique. It is a recognized event in the Olympic Games and has been a part of the competition since 1904. The race walking event has two categories, 20km and 50km, with both men and women competing in each. Some notable players in this event include Robert Korzeniowski from Poland, who has won four Olympic gold medals, and Liu Hong from China, who has won multiple world championships. The main difference between race walking and regular walking is that one foot must always be in contact with the ground, making it a technical and challenging sport. Famous stadiums where this event is held include the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing.
