Leicester Riders are one of Britain’s best-known professional basketball teams, based in Leicester, England. Founded in 1967, the club has a long history in the national game and has competed in the British Basketball League, winning major honours including league championships, BBL Cup titles and playoff trophies. Riders play their home games at the Mattioli Arena, formerly known as Morningside Arena, a purpose-built venue in Leicester that hosts basketball and other events. The club has developed and featured many notable British and international players; former captain Drew Sullivan is among its celebrated names, while players such as Andy Thomson and Jamell Anderson have also represented the team. Leicester Riders are recognised for their sustained success, strong local support and contributions to basketball development, including community programmes and youth pathways. Their achievements have helped establish the club as a leading name in British basketball. Fans searching for Leicester Riders fixtures, results, players, trophies and arena information can follow the team’s campaigns in domestic competitions and learn more about its place in the history of the sport.

The Surrey 89ers are a professional basketball team based in Guildford, Surrey, England, competing in the Super League Basketball Championship, the top tier of British men’s basketball. Launched in 2024, the club took over Surrey’s place in the professional league after the Surrey Scorchers era and began play under the 89ers name in the 2024–25 season. The team’s home court is Surrey Sports Park, a multi-sport venue on the University of Surrey campus, where fans can watch home games and community basketball events. The 89ers’ roster features British and international players, with line-ups changing between seasons as the club recruits for domestic league and cup competition. Rather than rely on unverified claims about individual honours, visitors can check the club’s official channels for current player profiles, statistics, fixtures and results. The team is part of a growing basketball scene in Surrey and aims to build local support through competitive performances, youth engagement and matchday experiences. For supporters searching for Surrey 89ers tickets, scores, players, fixtures or stadium information, Surrey Sports Park and the club’s official website are useful starting points.
