The UCI Track World Cup, officially known as the UCI Track Cycling World Cup, was an international series of track cycling competitions organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). First held in 1993, it brought national teams and professional trade teams together to compete at indoor velodromes around the world. Rather than a single stadium-based event, each season featured several rounds hosted in different cities, with racing on a steeply banked track, typically 250 metres long. Men and women contested disciplines including sprint, keirin, team sprint, individual pursuit, team pursuit, scratch race, points race, omnium and madison. Each team selected specialist riders, while leading cyclists represented their countries in the race for medals and valuable world ranking points. The competition helped athletes prepare for the UCI Track Cycling World Championships and Olympic Games, and gave fans the chance to watch fast, tactical racing in a purpose-built venue. The original World Cup series concluded after the 2021 season and was replaced by the UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup, which continues the international track racing format with national teams competing across multiple rounds.
