North West, officially known as the North West Dragons, is a South African domestic cricket team representing North West province and based in Potchefstroom. The team plays its home matches at Senwes Park, a major cricket venue also known as JB Marks Oval. The CSA T20 Challenge6 compete in Cricket South Africa’s domestic tournaments, including the CSA 4-Day Series, the CSA One-Day Cup and the CSA T20 Challenge, offering players opportunities to perform across red-ball, 50-over and T20 formats. The side has featured South African internationals and leading domestic cricketers, including all-rounder Senuran Muthusamy and batter Wihan Lubbe, while its squads change from season to season. North West’s provincial cricket history also includes participation in regional competitions and the development of players for higher levels of the game. The CSA T20 Challenge7 were a South African domestic cricket team representing CSA T20 Challenge4 and Griqualand West, with their home matches played at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein. Known previously as the CSA T20 Challenge8, the team adopted the CSA T20 Challenge7 name in 2010 and competed in major domestic tournaments, including the Sunfoil Series, the Momentum One Day Cup and the domestic T20 competition, later known as the CSA T20 Challenge. The franchise earned recognition for its performances across all three formats and won domestic trophies during its history. Notable players associated with the CSA T20 Challenge7 include wicketkeeper-batter Morne van Wyk, all-rounder Ryan McLaren, and batters Rilee Rossouw and Reeza Hendricks. Mangaung Oval, a well-established international cricket venue, provided the team with a home ground and hosted both domestic fixtures and international matches. The CSA T20 Challenge7 formed part of South Africa’s franchise cricket structure until the domestic system was reorganised in 2021, when the franchise model was replaced.
