The J/24 European Championship is a major international sailing event for the J/24 one-design keelboat class, bringing together national teams and club crews from across Europe. Each boat is sailed by a crew, typically comprising five people, who compete in a series of races on a marked course set on open water. Because the championship is hosted by a different sailing venue, there is no permanent stadium; the “stadium” is the race area, with spectators following from shore, spectator boats, or official event coverage. Competition rewards consistent starts, tactical decisions, teamwork, and skill in changing wind and sea conditions. All J/24 boats share the same basic design, placing the focus on crew ability rather than major differences in equipment. The event attracts experienced sailors, national representatives, and sailing clubs, with results determined by points accumulated across the scheduled races. Host location, participating teams, race dates, and entry lists vary by edition, so visitors should check the official championship notice for current details. For sailing fans, the J/24 European Championship offers close fleet racing and a clear view of high-level European keelboat competition.
