The Sacramento Kings are a professional basketball team based in Sacramento, California, and compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Western Conference’s Pacific Division. The franchise traces its history to the Rochester Royals, who won the 1951 NBA championship before the team later relocated to Sacramento in 1985. The Kings play their home games at Golden 1 Center, a downtown arena that opened in 2016 and hosts NBA games, concerts, and community events. Notable players in the team’s recent era include center Domantas Sabonis, forward DeMar DeRozan, guard Malik Monk, and forward Keegan Murray. Sacramento ended a 16-season playoff drought in 2023, reaching the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2006 and renewing the city’s enthusiasm for Kings basketball. The team’s history also includes memorable playoff runs, acclaimed players, and a loyal fan base known for creating a lively home-court atmosphere. With a championship in its franchise history and continued competition in the NBA, the Sacramento Kings remain one of California’s most recognizable professional sports teams.

The Philadelphia 76ers, often called the Sixers, are a professional basketball team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and compete in the National Basketball Association’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. Philadelphia’s celebrated players have also included Julius Erving, Charles Barkley and current guard Tyrese Maxey. The Sixers play their home games at Xfinity Mobile Arena in South Philadelphia, a multipurpose venue formerly known as the Wells Fargo Center. Their long-running rivalry with the Boston Celtics is one of the NBA’s most notable, and the team regularly competes for playoff position in the Eastern Conference. With championship history, award-winning stars and a passionate fan base, the 76ers remain one of basketball’s most recognizable franchises.
