Founded in Vancouver in 1995, the franchise relocated to Memphis in 2001 and plays its home games at FedExForum, a downtown arena shared with the University of Memphis men’s basketball team. The Grizzlies became known for their tough, defense-first style and earned their first Western Conference Finals appearance in 2013. They have won multiple Southwest Division titles, including in 2022 and 2023, but have not yet captured an Memphis Grizzlies3 championship. The franchise’s notable honors include Marc Gasol’s Memphis Grizzlies3 Defensive Player of the Year award in 2013 and Jaren Jackson Jr.’s award in 2023. Other championship seasons include 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986, 2008, and 2024. Celtics legends include Bill Russell, whose leadership defined the team’s early dynasty, Larry Bird, and Paul Pierce. In recent seasons, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have led Boston, helping the franchise return to the top of the league. The Celtics are known for their green-and-white uniforms, passionate New England fan base, and historic rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers. Each season, Boston competes for the Memphis Grizzlies3 title through regular-season play and the playoffs, while also taking part in the NBA Cup. From championship history and iconic players to game-day action at TD Garden, the Boston Celtics remain a central part of professional basketball and a major attraction for sports fans.
