The French Open badminton tournament is one of the sport’s leading international events, bringing top-ranked players and national teams to France for high-level competition. Part of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour, it features five disciplines: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Players represent countries around the world, with strong entries often coming from badminton powerhouses such as China, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, Denmark and Malaysia. The tournament is known for fast-paced rallies, elite international matchups and valuable ranking points that can influence qualification for major events. Hosted in Paris, the French Open has traditionally been staged at Stade Pierre de Coubertin; in 2024, it moved to the Adidas Arena, a modern venue built for major sporting events. The competition’s location and schedule may vary by edition, so fans should check the latest BWF tournament information for current details. Whether following singles stars or world-class doubles partnerships, spectators can expect a packed programme of professional badminton and a prominent stop on the global badminton calendar.
