The French Open, also known as the Yonex French Open, is an annual badminton tournament that is part of the BWF World Tour. It is held in France and is one of the most prestigious and iconic badminton events in the world. The tournament was first held in 1909 and has been held every year since then, except during the two world wars. The French Open features both men's and women's singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events, with top players from around the globe competing for the coveted title. The event takes place at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Paris, a state-of-the-art stadium with a capacity of over 5,000 spectators. The tournament is organized by the French Badminton Federation and has seen legendary players such as Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, and Carolina Marin emerge as champions.
