The VPS football team is a professional football club based in Vaasa, Finland. Established in 1924, VPS is one of the oldest and most successful teams in the country. The club has won the Finnish Cup three times, most recently in 2015, and has been runner-up in the Finnish league, Veikkausliiga, twice. SJK, also known as Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho, is a professional football team based in Seinäjoki, Finland. They currently compete in the highest tier of Finnish football, the Veikkausliiga. SJK was founded in 2007 and quickly rose to prominence in the Finnish football scene, winning the Finnish Cup in 2014 and becoming the first team outside of Helsinki to win the Veikkausliiga in 2015. The team has a strong roster of players, including Finnish international and team captain Mehmet Hetemaj, as well as experienced goalkeeper Mihkel Aksalu. Their home matches are played at OmaSP Stadion, which has a capacity of over 6,000 spectators. SJK is known for their passionate fan base and their consistently strong performances in both domestic and European competitions.
