They have a strong track record of success, having won the inaugural Suncorp Super Netball competition in 2017 and finishing as runners-up in 2018 and 2020. The roster of players includes some of the best in the sport, such as captains Laura Scherian and Stephanie Wood, as well as international stars like Peace Proscovia and Maddy McAuliffe. Lightning plays their home games at the USC Stadium, a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity of over 2,000 spectators.
