The 22nd Asian Games, officially known as Aichi-Nagoya 2026, will bring Asia’s leading athletes to Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026. Hosted by Aichi Prefecture and the city of Nagoya, the multi-sport event is expected to welcome competitors representing the 45 National Olympic Committees of the Olympic Council of Asia. The programme features 41 sports, giving fans opportunities to follow established events such as athletics, swimming, football, badminton and basketball, alongside other disciplines. Competitions will take place at venues across the host region rather than in one stadium; Nagoya’s renovated Mizuho Park Stadium is among the key facilities planned for the Games. National teams will select their players and final rosters closer to the event, so confirmed athlete line-ups and match schedules will be announced in due course. For sports fans, the Asian Games offer a major showcase of regional rivalries, emerging talent and Olympic-level competition. Follow Aichi-Nagoya 2026 for updates on teams, players, event schedules, results, sports and stadium information throughout the build-up and competition.
