The Mondo Classic is an international pole vault meeting held in Uppsala, Sweden, and named after Swedish-American star Armand “Mondo” Duplantis. Unlike a conventional athletics fixture, it is not a contest between team rosters: individual vaulters compete for their countries, with the line-up and event format varying by edition. Duplantis is a central attraction, while other elite athletes from Sweden and abroad may join the field. The competition takes place at IFU Arena, an indoor venue in Uppsala that provides a dedicated setting for pole vaulting and lets spectators follow each attempt up close. As a specialist track and field event, the Mondo Classic focuses on clearance heights, tactical decisions and the athletes’ progression through the competition, rather than on a full programme of running and throwing events. Its connection to one of the sport’s leading athletes and its international field have made it a notable stop on the athletics calendar. Fans looking for Mondo Classic results, competitors, schedule and venue information should check the event’s latest edition details, as participating vaulters and performance records can change from year to year.
