The UAE Tour is a professional road cycling stage race held annually across the United Arab Emirates and part of the UCI WorldTour calendar. Launched in 2019 through the merger of the Abu Dhabi Tour and Dubai Tour, it brings together leading international teams, including top-level UCI WorldTeams whose line-ups change from year to year. Instead of stadium teams or fixed player rosters, the event features individual riders competing for the overall title, stage victories, and classifications such as the points and young rider competitions. The route varies each edition, taking the peloton through cities, desert roads, and mountain terrain across several emirates. A major climbing test often comes at Jebel Hafeet, a demanding ascent that has helped shape the general classification, while flat stages can favour sprinters. The race typically combines multiple stages over about a week, with road closures and start and finish areas organised at locations along the route; there is no permanent stadium. For cycling fans, the UAE Tour offers a chance to follow elite riders, team tactics, sprint finishes, and decisive mountain racing in one of the sport’s prominent early-season events.
