The Boodles Tennis, also known as The Boodles, is an invitation-only tennis exhibition traditionally staged in the week before Wimbledon. Unlike an ATP Tour tournament, it is not a ranking event: players take part in friendly singles and doubles matches, giving fans a chance to see leading professionals in a relaxed setting before the grass-court Grand Slam. The event has historically been held on the grass courts of Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, England, a country-estate venue known for its parkland surroundings and intimate viewing atmosphere. The player lineup changes from year to year and has featured internationally recognised men’s and women’s tennis stars, alongside rising talents and former champions. There are no permanent teams; competitors are invited individually and match pairings are announced for each edition. The Boodles is valued for its informal presentation, close access to players and Wimbledon-style grass-court tennis. Its schedule and venue can vary, so visitors should check official event information for the latest dates, confirmed players, match programme and ticket details. For tennis fans seeking a pre-Wimbledon exhibition, The Boodles offers a distinctive opportunity to watch elite players prepare for the grass-court season.
