The Tour Championship is a professional snooker tournament featuring elite players rather than teams, with places awarded to the leading competitors on the one-year ranking list. First held in 2019, the event is part of the sport’s Players Series and offers a major title and ranking points. Its field changes each season, but has included leading names such as Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Allen and Kyren Wilson. Matches are played one-on-one on a full-size snooker table, with the tournament format typically using extended frames suited to high-level competition. The Tour Championship does not have a permanent home stadium; it is staged at selected venues in the United Kingdom, with locations changing between editions. Recent host cities have included Manchester, Hull and Llandudno, and the announced venue for a particular year should be checked for up-to-date event information. For snooker fans, the tournament is a useful showcase of the season’s most consistent players, combining high-stakes ranking matches with a compact field of top-ranked contenders. Follow the Tour Championship for schedules, results, player updates and coverage of one of professional snooker’s prominent annual events.
