The Snooker Shoot Out is a professional ranking tournament known for fast-paced, one-frame matches and a lively atmosphere. Unlike traditional snooker events, each match lasts a maximum of 10 minutes, with players competing individually rather than as teams. A shot clock keeps the action moving: players have 15 seconds for each shot during the first five minutes and 10 seconds during the final five. The event follows distinctive rules, including a requirement to hit a cushion or pot a ball after making contact with the cue ball; a foul gives the opponent cue ball in hand. Since becoming a ranking event in 2017, the Shoot Out has attracted leading professionals and emerging players, offering a different test of skill, speed and composure. Its open draw and single-frame format can produce dramatic finishes and unexpected results. The tournament is staged at a venue selected for each edition, rather than at one permanent stadium, and has been held in arenas such as Leicester Arena. Fans can follow the draw, match results, player performances and tournament schedule to keep up with the latest Snooker Shoot Out action.
