The Raceboard World Championships is an international sailing competition for windsurfers racing in the Raceboard class, a board class that uses a daggerboard for added stability and upwind performance. Competitors represent countries and clubs, but races are generally decided by individual sailors rather than conventional team play. Men and women compete in designated divisions, with results determined by finishing places across a series of races and the best overall scores. Unlike a stadium-based sport, the championship is held on an open-water course set by race officials, with the host location changing between editions. Wind strength, waves, current, and weather can all influence tactics and results, making board handling, sail trim, and race strategy essential. The event is associated with the International Windsurfing Association and its Raceboard class, and attracts experienced national-level athletes from around the world. Championship schedules, entry lists, race notices, and results vary by year and host venue. For sailing fans, the Raceboard World Championships offers a clear way to follow competitive windsurfing, international rivalries, and the technical demands of racing on a board with a centerboard.
