The International Easter Meeting is an annual youth sailing regatta held around Easter on Lake Garda in northern Italy. Hosted by Fraglia Vela Riva in Riva del Garda, the event is best known for its Optimist class races, which bring together young sailors representing sailing clubs and national teams from across Europe and beyond. Rather than a conventional stadium, the competition takes place on the lake, with race courses set by officials according to wind and weather conditions. Competitors race individually, while club coaches and support teams follow proceedings from the shore and support boats. The event gives junior sailors an opportunity to test their skills against an international field and gain experience in a major regatta setting. Its programme, entry numbers, participating countries and results can vary from year to year, so current race schedules and competitor information should be checked with the organizer. With its established history, international participation and scenic Lake Garda venue, the International Easter Meeting is a significant fixture in the youth sailing calendar and an appealing event for fans following Optimist sailing, junior regattas and international sailing competition.
