The Brindisi–Corfu Sailing Regatta is an annual international offshore sailing event linking Brindisi, Italy, with the Greek island of Corfu. The race covers approximately 104 nautical miles across the Adriatic and Ionian seas, beginning in Brindisi harbor and finishing near Corfu. Rather than taking place in a stadium, the competition unfolds on an open-water course, with the ports serving as the main gathering and viewing areas for crews and spectators. Teams enter sailing yachts in different classes, and each boat is crewed by sailors who work together on navigation, sail handling and race strategy. Conditions at sea, including wind strength and direction, can influence both tactics and finishing times. Organized by the Circolo della Vela Brindisi, the regatta attracts Italian and international competitors and forms part of the wider sailing calendar in the Adriatic region. The Brindisi–Corfu race is a distinctive test of endurance and seamanship, combining offshore competition with a route between two historic Mediterranean destinations. Results, participating boats and race schedules can vary from year to year.
