The Offshore Double Handed World Championship is an international sailing competition in which two-person crews race offshore over demanding courses at sea. Each team pairs a skipper and co-sailor, who share responsibility for steering, sail handling, navigation and tactical decisions, often across long periods with limited rest. Unlike stadium-based sports, the championship has no permanent venue: the host port, race area and course depend on the edition, with racing taking place in open water and conditions shaped by wind, waves and weather. Competing crews represent their countries and must combine boat speed with sound judgment, teamwork and endurance. The event showcases double-handed offshore sailing, a discipline that tests sailors’ ability to manage a boat and make decisions without a larger crew. Results are determined by performance on the prescribed course, according to the competition’s rules and scoring format. Fans following the Offshore Double Handed World Championship can expect close racing, changing conditions and tactical competition between skilled international sailing teams.
