Nelson’s Cup Series is a competitive sailing regatta held in the waters around English Harbour, Antigua, with racing based near the historic Nelson’s Dockyard. The event brings together yacht teams and their crews to compete on courses shaped by Caribbean winds, coastal geography and changing sea conditions. Unlike a stadium-based sport, sailing unfolds across open water, while Nelson’s Dockyard serves as a historic shore-side hub for competitors and visitors. Crews race yachts in designated classes, with each boat relying on coordination among its skipper, tactician and other sailors to navigate the course and manage sails effectively. The participating teams and fleet can vary from one edition to another, so current entry lists and results are best checked through official event information. The series is associated with Antigua’s wider sailing calendar and offers spectators a chance to follow international yacht racing in a distinctive maritime setting. For sailing fans, Nelson’s Cup Series combines tactical competition, skilled crew work and the heritage of one of Antigua’s best-known harbours, making it a notable event for Caribbean regatta coverage and yacht racing enthusiasts.
