The Morgan Cup is a sailing match-racing event hosted by the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in Hamilton, Bermuda. Rather than competing in a stadium, teams race on a marked course in the waters around Hamilton Harbour, where spectators can follow the action from shore or from nearby boats. Each team consists of a skipper and crew, and races are decided through close tactical duels involving boat handling, sail trim, positioning and quick decisions around the marks. Competitors may include experienced professional sailors and international match-racing teams, with the lineup varying by edition. In match racing, two boats compete head-to-head, and teams advance through scheduled rounds toward the final; the format rewards consistency as well as speed. The event’s Bermuda setting offers sheltered harbour water and a distinctive maritime backdrop, while the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club provides the event’s organizational home. For sailing fans searching for Morgan Cup results, teams, sailors, race format or venue information, the event is a notable fixture in Bermuda’s competitive sailing calendar. Check the organizer’s latest event information for current entries, race dates, boat class and results.
