The RSM Classic is an annual professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, played at Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia. First held in 2010, the event is hosted by former major champion Davis Love III and named for its title sponsor, RSM, a global provider of audit, tax, and consulting services. Unlike team-based sports, The RSM Classic features individual players competing for the tournament title, FedExCup points, and prize money. The field typically includes PGA Tour professionals, including established stars, rising players, and golfers with ties to the state of Georgia and the Sea Island community. Competition takes place over four rounds of 18-hole stroke play. In the opening two rounds, players are divided between Sea Island’s Seaside Course and Plantation Course; those who make the cut then play the final rounds on the Seaside Course. The coastal setting, challenging layout, and late-season position on the PGA Tour schedule make the event a notable fixture for golf fans following tournament results, player performances, and the race for FedExCup standings. The tournament was previously known as the McGladrey Classic before adopting its current name.
